Electronic Family

A cosy family sunday

Electronic Family

December 11 was a special day for Electronic Family, as we showed the new festival site in Den Bosch to a group of Family Members for the first time. A small, informal meeting, with a diverse group of family members.

Family Cacaphony

The members gathered at 3 pm, and were welcomed by marketing manager Joyce van Lievenoogen with a drink, muffins and a short presentation about Electronic Family. Like a family, it soon turned out to be a cacophony of opinions and voices in the cozy café of Autotron.

Luckily the weather was nice enough for everyone to take a stroll around the festival ground. Even though the terrain looks different mid-summer than it does in the beginning of December, it soon became apparent to everyone that the possibilities are extensive. Especially the lake area caught the imagination of the group. Some ideas that sprung while looking across the water were: a lounge area at the beach, with a view across the water and a Psy or Goa stage near the water.

Walking further along, the opinions about staying at a camp site or in the nearby bungalow park varied. It was evident that the younger trance lovers could see themselves on the camping ground, while the somewhat older family members felt more for a bungalow or a more comfortable pre-pitched tent. As everyone headed back to the café, it became apparent that the group could see something beautiful emerge here in the summer. During dinner, topics such as the length of a set and which trance styles people wanted to hear were discussed, and we tried to grasp the ‘Electronic Family feeling’.
